My Friends,

It is good to be able to say that. To have so many friends is a good thing in life and being part of the Body of Christ is the source of so many good things.

Bryan will be back in the pulpit on Sunday and I can't wait. But I hope I was able to bless and instruct in his absence.

Just a couple updates:

Grace Duffel (Trudy;s mom and Brent's mother in law) is taking a turn for the worse. Please pray for their family as they weather this. Pray for peace and blessings of all kinds.

Good Morning!

We are on our fourth day of school and it is full of grace. Thanks for praying for us!

A few things to pay attention to:

The CC Yard Sale ( September 6) is soliciting donations of good, usable stuff to sell for their fundraising yard sale. Bring it on!

The Children's Church also is looking for volunteers to help with that day. Kathy G. suggests that the East Mt. High School kids can earn their Community Service Hours by helping at the Yard Sale. Let her know.

God bless you for praying for our enrollment and please keep it up. School starts on Monday and I think it will be a great year. We had an awesome teacher's organizational meeting. I came away from it knowing I picked the best people for the job, all by the grace of God.

I will be more regular with my communication but here is a blurb from Kathy G.

If you would put in one last plug for the Nursery Workers' Meeting. I don't know that there are any EBFers who are interested in serving but haven't yet made the commitment; but Linda would really like them to know that they are welcome, too.

And for the CC Yard Sale:

Bring it on! The Children's Church is ready and waiting for your donations of "GOOD STUFF" for their upcoming Yard Sale on Saturday, September 6, from 8am to 1pm in the EBF Parking Lot. Bring your salable items (clean, working, and in good condition) to the CC anytime that the church or school is open through September 5. We also have unlimited openings for helpers to sort, price, set up and tear down. Don't miss this opportunity to support our kidz ministry (and to get first chance at the great stuff we'll have for sale)!

For a new shcool year, that is? Seems like we are always getting ready for some new thing. Hope you are getting ready for God's new kingdom. It is going to be a major kick!

If you didn't register for 'Enter" with us, you just missed it. We will bring back the excitement with us though, so not to worry.

I am sincerely requesting that some of you who need to be needed will respond to our need for helpers and contributors to our Chat Room. I have asked repeatedly for donations hoping for a response, but as of yet, no one has stepped up. I assume we all like the Chat Room and would like to see it prosper. So HELP, please? We need regular donations of candy, gum, coffee, sodas, hot dogs, buns, frozen pretzels and periodic batches of soup, burritos, sandwiches and the like for Weds. nights.

We need a big guy with a chain saw to saw up some telephone polls into 20" lengths. They are behind the big building and we want to us them for landscaping.

Also needed: Donations for Chat Room, especially some good thing to sell on Weds. Nights. Lately sandwiches or burritos are favorites.

Good and glorious morning!

I don't know about you, but the Sunday teaching and worship was in my estimation a HOME RUN for the gospel. We are considering putting the CD in the welcome packet. When it is so anointed, you have to believe God is behind it! Too bad we can't capture the music on the CD too.

Some interesting things:

Dawn Hackett and Kathy Yazzie are creating a website that belongs solely to the School. I am excited to be coming into the new millenium even if a little late. We do have the best school in the area. And that is not vain boasting!

I personally thought Bryan did an awesome job with the "woman question". If you didn't hear the sermon, make sure you get the CD.

FYI-

Wednesday discussion and DVD is on 'vision'. Last week's teaching is one of my favorite. This is another one. It really helped me understand how to 'see' in the Spirit and that it is normal for believers to do so. I will leave time at the end for questions and discussion.
